Gale ~ Librareo ~ Submit Video

Watch "Behind the Stacks" (below) to view an original song created by a spirited group of librarians.

As these librarians – collectively known as the Dewey DeciBand – demonstrate, there is very little that people won't do to profess their love of books.
They joined The High Strung on stage March 27, during the Public Library Association conference, to perform a song comprised of lines from their favorite books. (To be truthful, one line is from a movie.)
We post it here as an example of the fun, spontaneity, originality and passion we'd like to see in your video submission.
But don't think that you need a full-blown rock band to win this contest – solo artists, rappers, folkies, hair-whipping metal acts…
…all are welcome and encouraged to enter.

Here are some helpful guidelines to make a great video:

If you don't already have one, sign up for a YouTube account. It's simple: go to http://www.youtube.com and follow the steps.
Next, upload your video again, YouTube has this process down to a science. When you upload, you are agreeing to YouTube's Terms of Use (especially section 5, covering "User Submissions").

Remember to include the name, address and phone number of your library in the description box for your video. We'll need that to contact you if you're a finalist or the Grand Prize Winner. Here's an example:
Now you're ready to submit your video to the librareo group. Visit www.youtube.com/group/librareo and click "Add Videos".
That's it! We'll send you an e-mail after your video has been received and soon it will be added to the contest submissions.
