Click on the button to the right to read the complete contest rules … but here are the basics. We have a serious legal team, so make sure you comply or they tell us we can't consider your video … and nobody wants that.
- You must be 13 years of age or older to enter. If you are younger than 18 years of age at the time you enter the contest, you must have your parent or legal guardian submit this permission form.
- If you're the only person in your video, when you submit it, you are agreeing to the rules and permissions outlined here. However, anyone appearing in your video needs to sign this permission form and e-mail it to: Lindsay.brown@cengage.com or mail it to

- Videos must be no shorter than 30 seconds and no longer than two minutes. Remember, your song should feature all original music or a melody that is in the public domain.
- You have from Sunday, April 13 until midnight on Saturday, May 31, 2008 to submit your video on YouTube.
- A panel of judges will determine five finalist videos based on the following criteria:
- Creativity (25%)
- Unique portrayal of entrants' love for their book or author (50%)
- Overall appeal (25%)
Finalists will be determined by Friday, June 6, 2008.
- You can return to this Web site to vote for your favorite video among the five finalists from Monday, June 9 – through Friday, June 13, 2008. We recommend that you tell everyone you know to vote for their favorite video too.
- The video with the most votes is the Grand Prize Winner!
